The Scottish Music Show is the first show of it's kind. A trade exhibition for all
types of music with the biggest names in the industry along with music shops from
throughout Scotland. What makes this exhibition different from the rest is the public
interaction and participation.
We have an open stage set up with a professional film crew and photographers to take
promotional pictures and make invaluable web videos for all the performers and bands
who come and play a set.
Open Stage -a stage designed for solo singer song writers. This stage has what we
believe to be the best gear in the business for solo performers. With names such
as Lowden Guitars and LR Baggs in the set up, we want performers to come along and
try out the gear, sing or play a tune and get professional photos taken. The stage
is set up with a back drop and lighting rig to make your promo photo's look the business.
Also this weekend professional film crew "Trahenna" are on site to make an edited
web video of the highest quality for you or your band, an absolute must for band's
port folios, websites and social media.
All this is included in a standard ticket for the show, so book your spot now as

We are also running a mentoring programme for young musicians, event organisers,
film makers and journalists. We have a full range of industry experts, record labels,
funders, publishers etc; onsite to answer questions and offer support. The mentoring
programme will run for a year and will stage four Scottish Music Show fundraising
events, organised by the youngsters themselves utilising Music Events Clydesdale's
equipment and knowhow.
There will be performances from some of the country's most prolific songwriters and
acclaimed live acts plus master classes, demonstrations and a bundle of prizes to
We are also staging a nationwide Battle of the Band's competition with a recording
studio package up for grabs.
Access to the show and both open stages is included in a daytime ticket for only
£5. There are various ticket options for main evening attractions.
Debuting at the 2013 Scottish Music Show will be Jim Duncan, showcasing his new album,
‘Roadshow’ Jim will be joined by GreenGoblin regulars with the addition of a highly
experienced brass section and backing vocal group. This new 12 piece bands delivers
a powerful performance with new members who have played with many of the all time
greats plus support.
